Welcome to the July edition of the Tangleby Recipe, Garden & Kids' Club.
With things being very quiet in the garden I have been busy planning what annuals we will be growing for the upcoming season. This is such a fun job as you can change up colour schemes so easily.
I have hundreds of self-seeded viscaria and fox glove plants that we will be able to transplant out around the garden too.
Opening up the gardens from October to March has proved incredibly popular. I can customise any menu to suit or we do have six menu packages available. Garden groups, women's groups, car clubs and so many other groups have already booked.
With the middle of winter upon us, I have some ideas for a Mid-Winter Christmas Dinner. This is a fun way to gather family and friends to brighten up these dull winter months.
My standout recipes this month would have to be my pavlova roulade that you can fill with frozen berries or whatever fruit you like. This is absolutely delicious and certainly doesn't last very long in the fridge with Mr Tangleby about.
The slow cooked leg of lamb with red wine sauce is rather special too. The lamb just falls off the bone and the sauce is stunning.
Bye for now, as we look forward to those spring beauties popping out of the ground ready to celebrate getting closer to spring.
Happy cooking, gardening, crafting and being the best person, you can be!
