For the Easy Cheese Bread
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 65g cold butter
- 1 cup tasty cheese
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese — grated
- 1 spring onion — finely chopped (or any 1 tablespoon of any dried herb)
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
Method
For the Easy Cheese Bread
- Line a loaf tin with baking paper.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan bake).
- Whisk dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Grate the butter into the dry ingredients. Stir in the cheeses and the onion (or dried herbs).
- In a separate bowl whisk the eggs then add the milk and sugar.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir until just moistened, do not overmix.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 50 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
