Ingredients

Hot Chocolate fudge Pudding

  • 3/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa and 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 75g butter - melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups hot water
  • Ice cream for serving

Method

Hot Chocolate Fudge Pudding

  • Preheat oven to 180oC (160oC fan bake). Lightly grease an oven-proof dish.
  • Whisk together 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  • Pour in the milk, melted b utter and vanilla and mix well. Tip the mixture into the prepared oven-proof dish.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa.
  • Gently spread the sugar mixture over the pudding.
  • Pour over the hot water. Do not stir.
  • Bake for 30 - 40 minutes or until the middle of the pudding is almost set.
  • Take the pudding out of the oven and allow it to sit for 15 minutes before serving with ice cream.
