This is an absolute winner of a loaf and so easy to make and bake.

Ingredients
For the apple, walnut & sultana loaf
- 1¾ cups peeled and diced apple
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 100g butter — melted
- 1 egg — beaten
- 1½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup sultanas
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Method
For the apple, walnut & sultana loaf
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan bake). Line a 21 x 10cm loaf tin with baking paper.
- Combine the apple, sugar, melted butter and egg in a bowl. Mix well.
- Sift the dry ingredients over the apple mixture and mix well.
- Stir in the sultanas and walnuts.
- Transfer to the prepared loaf tin and bake for 40–50 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
