Ingredients

For the Beef

  • 500g thinly sliced beef
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar

For the Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli garlic sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon cornflour

Stir-fry

  • 1 large red capsicum
  • 1 large carrot
  • 200g snow peas
  • 1 head of broccoli

Method

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add the beef , 2 tablespoons of cornflour , 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar and season with salt and pepper , Mix together and set aside while you prepare the sauce
  • In a separate bowl combine the sauce ingredients
  • Peel the carrot and dice the stir-fry vegetables
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the beef mixture until lightly browned
  • Remove the beef from the pan and set aside
  • In the same pan add the stir-fry vegetables and fry until soft
  • Stir in the sauce and add the beef. Allow the stir-fry to cook until the sauce thickens
  • Serve with rice
