A cheese fondue is a fun way to gather friends and family together. Serve with blanched broccoli, beans, cauliflower, asparagus, French bread or Crispy Chicken Tenders on skewers.

Ingredients
For the cheese fondue
- 1 cup white wine (I use sauvignon blanc)
- 1 clove garlic — finely chopped
- 250g maasdam cheese — grated
- 400g gruyere-style cheese — grated
- Finely grated nutmeg, to taste
Method
For the cheese fondue
- Put the wine and garlic in a saucepan over a low heat and bring to a simmer.
- Add the maasdam in batches, stirring vigorously as it melts.
- Once melted, add the gruyere-style cheese in batches.
- Grate a little nutmeg over the top and stir through.
- Transfer to a fondue set, top with a little more nutmeg and enjoy.
