Take stir-fry pork up a notch with a sticky-sweet orange sauce. Serve with rice.

Ingredients

  • 750g pork fillets
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • A pinch of garlic salt
  • A pinch of ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 red onion – cut into wedges
  • 1 red capsicum – sliced
  • 100g green beans

Zesty Orange Sauce

  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • Finely grated zest of ½ orange
  • Juice of 2 large oranges
  • 3 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic – crushed
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1½ teaspoons cornflour mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Method

  • Cut the pork into 5mm slices.
  • Combine the cornflour, garlic salt and pepper in a shallow bowl. Add the pork and turn to coat.
  • Heat a little oil in a large pan over a high heat. Working in batches, cook the pork until golden. Set aside on paper towels as you go.
  • Add a little more oil to the same pan and sauté the red onion, capsicum and beans for a few minutes.
  • To make the sauce, combine all the ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Add to the pan and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the pork and serve immediately.
