A very popular recipe in our house. Just check that your peanut butter is free of the sugar substitute xylitol, which is poisonous to dogs.
Ingredients
For the dog cookies
- 1½ cups rolled oats
- 1½ cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 very ripe banana — mashed
- ⅓ cup peanut butter
- 1½ teaspoons milk
Method
For the dog cookies
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan bake). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. You may need to use your hands for this.
- Tip out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to 1cm thickness.
- Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter and arrange on the prepared tray.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
