Start preparing these sticky Asian ribs a couple of days in advance so they have time to marinate well.
Ingredients
For the hoisin pork ribs
- 1.5kg pork ribs — cut into serving pieces
- 1 cup hoisin sauce
- 4 cloves garlic — crushed
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons five spice powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Method
For the hoisin pork ribs
- To marinate the ribs, combine all the ingredients except the ribs in a large shallow dish or snap-lock bag.

- Cook the ribs for 2½ hours, basting occasionally with the thickened marinade.
