Honey and Garlic Chicken

Serve this sweet and sticky chicken with rice and a side of vegetables for an easy family meal the kids will love.


  • 1kg skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • ⅓ cup cornflour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 15g butter
  • 4 cloves garlic – crushed
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce


  • Cut the chicken thighs in half.
  • Combine the cornflour, garlic salt and pepper in a shallow bowl. Add the chicken and turn to coat.
  • Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the chicken for 5 minutes each side or until golden brown.
  • Add the butter and garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Stir in the honey, stock, vinegar and soy sauce.
  • Simmer for 6 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • To serve, transfer the chicken to a serving plate and drizzle with the sauce.
