Sliders are quick and easy to make when you have hungry mouths to feed. I like to leave the bread rolls joined together and fill and bake them as one slab, before cutting them into single rolls to serve.

Ingredients
For the italian sliders
- 12 bread rolls
- ⅓–½ cup pizza sauce
- 300g mozzarella — grated
- 1 red onion — thinly sliced
- 1 red capsicum — thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 200g Italian salami — sliced
- 200g shaved ham
Method
For the italian sliders
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (155°C fan bake). Spray a dish large enough to hold all the bread rolls with baking spray.
- Use a long bread knife to cut horizontally through the centre of the slab of bread rolls.
- Place the base layer on the prepared dish and spread with pizza sauce.
- Sprinkle with half the mozzarella.
- Top with the red onion, capsicum, Italian herbs, salami and ham.
- Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella.
- Replace the bread roll tops and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
- Cut into individual rolls to serve.
