For the 1 seasoned white rice

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chicken or vegetable stock powder
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


For the seasoned white rice

  • Place the butter, oil and stock powder in a saucepan over a medium heat and stir to combine.
  • Once the stock has been incorporated, add the rice and stir to coat.
  • Add the water, bring to a bubbly boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook according to the packet instructions.
  • Fluff the rice, season with salt and pepper and serve topped with the parsley.
