A vegetable stir fry makes for a great side dish with kebabs or grilled meats. Any combination of vegetables can be used in this recipe.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic – crushed
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger – grated
  • Pinch chilli flakes

Stir Fry

  • 6 cups vegetables cut to a similar size – broccoli, carrot, capsicums, baby corn, red onion, mushrooms, zucchini
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Method

  • In a small bowl, whisk all the sauce ingredients together – set aside.
  • Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok over a medium heat.
  • Stir fry the vegetables for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender.
  • Stir in the sauce and simmer for 1 minute.
