Ingredients
Hawaiian Pork Chops
- 4 pork chops
- Garlic salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
Sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons each: tomato sauce, brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon cornflour
- 225g tin pineapple slices in juice
- 2 cloves garlic - crushed
- Good pinch ground ginger
Method
Hawaiian Pork Chops
- In a small bowl, whisk all the sauce ingredients together - set aside the pineapple slices but whisk in the juice.
- Season the pork chops with the garlic salt and pepper. Drizzle with the cooking oil.
- Heat a large frying pan over a high heat.
- Brown the pineapple slices in the pan - set aside.
- Sear the pork chops for 2 - 3 minutes on each side.
- Place a pineapple ring on top of each pork chop. Pour over the sauce and cook for 1 minute.
- Serve each pork chop with a pineapple ring and some sauce.
