Ingredients

Hot Honey Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 80g butter
  • 4 cloves garlic - crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger - grated
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce

Method

Hot Honey Salmon

  • Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper and the paprika.
  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the salmon, skin side down for 2 minutes.
  • Flip the salmon over and cook for another 2 minutes - set aside.
  • Add the butter to the same pan and melt. Add in the garlic, ginger and chilli. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Add in the honey, lime juice and soy sauce. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes. Add the salmon back into the pan and heat through until the salmon is done to your liking.
