Maple, Mustard and Apple Pork Chops
- 4 pork chops
- Garlic salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Drizzle of olive oil
- 2 apples - peeled and sliced
Sauce
- 330ml apple cider
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon each: Dijon mustard, grain mustard, miso paste, soy sauce, Sriracha
- 2 cloves garlic - crushed
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
Method
Maple, Mustard and Apple Pork Chops
- Season the pork chops with garlic salt and pepper. Drizzle them with a little olive oil.
- In a medium bowl, whisk all the sauce ingredients together.
- Heat a large frying pan over a medium/high heat. Cook the pork chops for 3 - 5 minutes each side. Set aside.
- Pan fry the apple slices for a few minutes . Set aside.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the pork and apple slices back into the pan, with the sauce and simmer for 1 - 2 minutes.
