Ingredients

Filling

  • 2 x 410g cans pears in juice - drained and diced
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Pecan Crumble

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup pecans - chopped
  • 80g butter - cubed
  • Cream or ice cream for serving

Method

Pear & Pecan Crumble

  • Preheat the oven to 180oC (160oC fan bake).
  • In a medium bowl, mix all the filling ingredients together. Tip them into a small oven proof dish.
  • Pecan Crumble - mix all the dry ingredients together. Melt the butter and mis through the dry ingredients.
  • Top the pears with the crumble. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden.
  • Serve with cream or ice cream.
