Ingredients

Pork with Creamy Bacon and Mustard Sauce

  • 4 pork chops or 2 pork fillets
  • Garlic salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Sauce

  • 4 rashers bacon - cubed and cooked for 5 minutes or until crispy.
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon each : Dijon mustard, wholegrain mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Chopped parsley for serving

Method

Pork with Creamy Bacon and Mustard Sauce

  • Season the pork chops or pork fillets with garlic salt and pepper. Drizzle with cooking oil.
  • Heat a large frying pan over a high heat. Sear the chops on both sides or the pork fillets on all sides. Turn the heat down to medium/low and cook the chops or fillet until a thermometer reaches 65oC. Transfer the pork to a warm plate and cover with foil.
  • To the same frying pan, add all the sauce ingredients.
  • Simmer the sauce until it reaches your desired thickness. Pour any pork resting juices into the sauce.
  • To serve - slice the pork fillet and spoon over the sauce or spoon the sauce over the pork chops. Sprinkle with chopped parsley to serve.
