Ingredients

Sticky Asian Pork Ribs

  • 2 kg pork ribs

Brown Sugar Rub

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon each: salt, chilli powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin

Sticky Asian Sauce

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger - grated
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic - crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes

Method

Sticky Asian Pork Ribs

  • Preheat oven to 150oC (130oC fan bake). Line a roasting dish with foil or baking paper.
  • Whisk all the brown sugar rub ingredients together.
  • Completely cover both sides of the ribs with the rub.
  • Place on the prepared roasting dish and cook for 3 hours or until the meat is falling off the bone.
  • Combine all the sticky Asian sauce ingredients together in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes over a low heat.
  • To serve - brush the ribs with the sauce, cut and serve.
