Welcome to the May edition of the Tangleby Recipe, Garden and Kid's Club.
Well, what a turnout we had for the Easter Egg Hunt. We had over 160 people here at Tangleby and the Easter Bunny tirelessly placed over 700 Easter eggs in the garden!!
Mothers' Day is not far away so I have put in a couple of lovely recipes for the kids' to make for Mum on her special day. The slow cooked chicken drumsticks are super easy and the Turkish delight slice is rather heavenly and makes a lovely gift.
I have been supplying my daughter with quite a few meals since she had her second baby. Her favourite was my Fishermans Pie, which I have included in this months recipes. It is creamy, smoky and very comforting.
Mr Tangleby and myself have thoroughly enjoyed my trial of Tiramisu Brownie for my recent photo shoot for my next book. This is very addictive and would make a fantastic dessert for a special occasion or a dinner party. It is included in the recipe section and would make a lovely dessert for Mothers 'Day.
The craft this month is a lovely memory bear. You sew this with fabrics from your children's outgrown clothes or even a persons clothes that you have lost. It is a wonderful way to celebrate anyone you love.
I have added in an article and a few recipes on dietary requirements that I came up against recently.
I have had two lunches at Tangleby with the Aviva staff over the past couple of months. Each group was around 30 people and the dietary requirements were vast.
I really enjoyed the challenge and enjoyed the recipes I came up with. The lentil shepherds pie is yummy and actually tastes quite meaty. The chocolate cake was very delicious also.
We would really like to see a lot more food and garden uploads please!!
Happy cooking, gardening, crafting and being the best person you can be!
