Ingredients

Apple Crumble

  • 1 x 770g can apple slices
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 120g butter, diced into small cubes
  • Pinch salt
  • Ice cream, to serve

Method

Apple Crumble

  • Preheat oven to 180° C (160° C fan bake). Spray a 20cm square baking dish with baking spray
  • Combine the apples, white sugar and 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon in a bowl. Transfer to the baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl mix the white sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, brown sugar, oats, flour, butter and salt.
  • With a fork, or your hands, push the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Spread the crumble over the apples and bake for 40 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve with ice cream
