Ingredients
For the chocolate mousse
- 500ml cream
- 250g dark cooking chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
For the chocolate mousse
- Heat half of the cream in a saucepan until bubbles begin to form around the edge.
- Place the chocolate into a heatproof bowl.
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and add the sugar and vanilla essence.
- Leave it to melt for a minute, then whisk until the chocolate is completely melted.
- In a separate bowl whisk the remaining cream.
- Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
- Pour into serving glasses and leave to set in the fridge.
