Welcome to the December edition of The Tangleby Recipe, Garden and Kids' Club.
We haven't been able to add in all the extra Christmas recipes in the article section, so they have been placed in the recipe section. These are Au Jus, Red Wine Jus, Cherry & Port Sauce, Cowboy Butter and the Orange and Cranberry Marmalade recipe is in the article section. Sorry for this confusion but the computer program isn't cooperating!
What a busy month it has been here, and it is not showing any signs of letting up. On Wednesday 3rd December we have four buses full of children from St Andrews College coming to Tangleby for a picnic.
The gardens are looking magnificent, but it is looking like a very hot season ahead. I am needing to plan for a spectacular show of colour for the February NZ House and Garden Tour. This is such a worthy cause supporting The Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Bayley's charity cookbook is now taking centre stage also with 80 recipes having to be created by early March 2026, ready for the two, two-day photo shoots. This is a wonderful challenge and once again such a worthy cause helping those children that can't always access a school uniform, shoes and school supplies.
As one of this months' articles, I have added in extra recipes for special sauces and my special orange and cranberry marmalade recipe. Don't forget the Tangleby house dressing or Caesar dressing that have been posted in the last few months. Home made is so much nicer than store bought and your guests will appreciate the extra effort that you have gone to.
This is such a wonderful time of the year, and I am so thrilled that the family Christmas is being spent at Tangleby. All four of the grandchildren will be here as well as my Christmas Day twins, Emily and Matthew.
