Korean beef bowls

What You'll Need:

  • 1 ½ Tablespoons honey

  • 1 ½ Tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil

  • 1 ½ teaspoons fresh lime juice

  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons water

  • 500g beef mince

  • 1/3 cup green onion

  • 3 cloves minced fresh garlic

  • 1 Tablespoon finely grated ginger

  • 2 Cups cooked white rice

 

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, whisk together the honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, lime juice, soy sauce and water. Set aside

  • Heat 2 Tablespoons oil in a pan. Add beef to pan and break it up as it cooks until its crumbled

  • Allow beef to cook until browned, 2.5 – 3 minutes. Add in the green onion, garlic and ginger

  • Continue to cook until beef is browned and cooked through, about 2 – 3 minutes

  • Reduce heat to low/medium and pour in the honey mixture. Let the mixture simmer until thickened, stirring frequently.

  • Serve with cooked white rice and vegetables of choice
